Laura Heberton makes movies with boundary-pushing, visionary artists. 


 She is a producer of award-­winning, ground-breaking narrative features as well narrative and doc shorts that have premiered at top festivals worldwide, including Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca and London BFI and have won multiple best film, cinematography and acting awards as well as honors such as Independent Spirit Award and Cinema Eye Heterodox nominations. Every feature is available on platforms such as iTunes, Netflix, Amazon and Vimeo and two shorts have been the NYTimes Op-Docs. Notable films include Jonathan Lisecki's GAYBY, Matt Porterfield's I USED TO BE DARKER, Josephine Decker's THOU WAST MILD AND LOVELY, Lance Edmands' BLUEBIRD, Robert Machoian and Rodrigo Ojeda-­Beck's WHEN SHE RUNS and GOD BLESS THE CHILD and Alison Bagnall's FUNNY BUNNY. She and Jennifer Reeder are currently adapting Jennifer Reeder's short, ALL SMALL BODIES into a feature, TODOS CUERPOS LOS PEQUENOS, an SFFILM/Kenneth Rainin Foundation -supported feature that recently was included in the Frontiéres 2019 Market in Montreal. She is also in post-production on Kate Mclean and Mario Furloni's FREELAND (supported three times each by SFFILM/KRF and by IFP) and Morrisa Maltz's THE UNKNOWN COUNTRY; both projects are in the 2019 IFP Narrative Lab, a prestigious post-production fellowship for first-time feature filmmakers. Projects she has worked on have received support from numerous stellar organizations including the SFFILM/Kenneth Rainin Foundation, IFP, the Sundance Institute, Cinemart, the Polish Film Society, the Tribeca Film Institute and Rooftop Films.
